The Commission on Cancer (CoC) has awarded Juan C. Paramo, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.I.C.S., the prestigious Cancer Liaison Physician Outstanding Performance Award. Dr. Paramo is one of only 55 physicians, from 1,600 nationwide, to be recognized.
Dr. Paramo, an attending surgeon in the section of Surgical Oncology at Mount Sinai Medical Center Comprehensive Cancer Center and assistant clinical professor of surgery at Nova Southeastern University, is a role model for his physician peers and the cancer center staff. Among many contributions, he provides outstanding leadership in the effort to advance cancer control in the community, including promoting cancer screenings and adequate disease detection and treatment.
