Aventura Hospital and Medical Centers Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Norman Leopold and Heather Rohan, CEO announced the appointment of two new members to the Board of Trustees, City of Aventura Commissioner Bob Diamond and Sunny Isles Beach Commissioner Gerry Goodman.
Commissioner Bob Diamond was elected to Commissioner of the City of Aventura in 2003 and re-elected in 2007. Commissioner Diamond practiced law in New Jersey for 35 years until his retirement to Florida in 1991. He has served as Chair of the Aventura Mayors Advisory Committee, Aventura Beautification Advisory Committee, and the Aventura Community Services Advisory Board. Commissioner Diamond has been a volunteer teacher of American and Jewish history at the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and Florida International University Osher Academy for Lifelong Learning.
Commissioner Gerry Goodman has served as commissioner of Sunny Isles Beach for the past five years. He is currently the commission liaison for the Citizens Traffic Safety and Americans with Disabilities Committee. Commissioner Goodman is also the citys representative to the Miami-Dade Fire Board meetings.
