Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale
The Alumnae of Alpha Delta Pi began supporting the Ft. Lauderdale Ronald McDonald House (RMH) even before it opened its doors in May of 2004. Through their efforts they have raised well over $100,000 for the RMH. The women have held semi annual garage sales and fundraisers. In December of 2004 the women of Alpha Delta Pi planned, organized and presented the first “Home for the Holidays” event which was a huge success and has continued to grow each year. In addition to their fundraising efforts the women and their families also volunteer countless hours of their time to RMH by providing dinners for the guests, collecting pop tabs and toiletries, and helping out with various odd jobs around the house. The women say, “It makes us feel good to know that we are helping provide these families with a safe, comfortable “home away from home” while they are going through such difficult times.

Francisca Rosa
Special thanks go to Francisca Rosa who has been part of the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Fort Lauderdale family since 2005. She considers herself a humanitarian who enjoys helping people. She believes her passion and desire to volunteer grew from her childhood in Dominican Republic where people constantly help and depend on each other to survive.
She stated that out of all of the organizations that came to Vista Health Plan where she works to recruit volunteers only three organizations got her attention. The RMH of Fort Lauderdale was her choice because of the service and dedication it provides to those in such special needs. Francisca feels like anyone who has some free time should come to Ronald McDonald House of Fort Lauderdale and help out, every minute, hour, day you give is worthwhile and much appreciated.
Francisca has been volunteering for churches, community centers, hospitals, schools and other organizations for over twenty years. She feels that the most rewarding experience has been the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Lauderdale because of what it stands for.
Francisca Rosa has being a dedicated, supportive volunteer with RMHC, she has participated in most of our special events mostly our garage sale and our annual Home for the Holidays Events where she comes in the morning and helps to clean, decorate and set up and then stays through the event until the evening. Shes always there when her help is needed at the RMHC of Fort Lauderdale. It is these kinds of people that make this a “Home Away From Home” for the families.
Ronald McDonald House of Fort Lauderdale staff and families would like to thank Francisca Rosa for her caring, sharing, dedication and support.
