The University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center has been verified as a burn center by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. This achievement recognizes the burn centers dedication to providing compassionate, leading-edge care to every patient.
The Burn Center Verification /Consultation Program, established in 1995 by the American Burn Association and American College of Surgeons, does not designate burn centers, but verifies that a center is demonstrating its commitment to providing the highest quality care to its patients. In order to be verified, burn centers undergo an on-site hospital review by a team of experience surgeons to see if the center meets criteria that ensure burn care capabilities and performance as outlined by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.About The Author
