Health Foundation of South Florida announced awards from $15,000 to $450,000 to 11 nonprofit health organizations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The awards, which totals just over $1 million, were made to grantees during the recent grant cycle.
In Miami-Dade County, Health Foundation recently awarded grants to: Centro Mater Child Care Services, $125,000; CHARLEE of Dade County, $70,000; City of South Miami, $15,000; Community Partnership for Homeless Miami Hope Clinic, $450,000; North Miami Beach Medical Center, $35,000; and Planned Parenthood of Greater Miami, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, $65,000. Grants were also awarded to: The Health Council of South Florida, $80,000; Unidad of Miami Beach, $100,000; and United Home Care Services, $82,916. Funds were also awarded to an organization for a program serving both Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties: Community Health of South Florida, $50,000. In addition the University of Miami Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery received $198,000.00.
