Ship Shape Pest Control uses the latest technology to control and eliminate all pests from residences and commercial structures without using volatizing and harmful poisons on the interior where they harm us more than the pests. Most pesticides are estrogen mimicking in their chemical formulation so once in the body are transported to receptor areas for estrogen. Men have only one receptor area for estrogen- the prostate. Women have estrogen receptors in the uterus, ovaries, cervix and breasts.

Since only about 10% of insects ever leave the nesting areas to forage for food, a poison spray program has no chance of success longer term. The colony will just keep producing more foragers. By using dusts, which control by desiccating or drying out the insect in their harborage areas, insects can be controlled for long periods of time without exposing our clients to poisons which may lower cholinesterase levels and lower immunity. By using specific baits and feeding the foragers a slow acting poison, entire colonies can be wiped out efficiently and placement of baits is in areas where our client will never see the insects feeding inside the walls and attic. For exterior treatments of turf, plants and perimeters, we use materials lowest in toxicity such as synthetic pyrethroids and carbamates along with surfactants to form a barrier that will hold up through our high heat- high precipitation climate for two to three months so fewer applications are necessary. Organic lawn- tree- shrub programs are also available to raise brix content of plants making them undesirable to landscape feeding insects by virtue of a higher sugar- alcohol content which is toxic to most insects.

By using Ship Shape services you’ll help promote a shift in horticulture which hopefully will spread to agriculture one day. Over the last two centuries, the greatest irony is that the man who invented NPK chemical-synthetic fertilizer back in 1850 was named “Liebig”, Professor Justus Von Liebig. Even more ironic is that he admitted he had made a horrible mistake when he said that his fertilizer was killing the living organisms in the soil-especially at higher rates. Liebig was a brilliant biologist who understood that we come from the soil by virtue of the plants we feed on which derive their physical form directly from the soil. We have nearly wiped out the earthworms which increase saccharides in the soil and clear pathways for air, which is almost 78% nitrogen, and allowing nitrogen fixing bacteria to extract that nitrogen and make it available to plants as they need it.
