The team at University Hospital and Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Aurelio Gonzalez, CPA as the Facilitys new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Aurelio has a proven track record of over twenty five years of progressive responsibility in the financial sector of the acute and sub-acute healthcare industry.
Aurelios first CFO role was in 1986 at Palmetto General Hospital where he served in that capacity until 1991. He then served as the CFO for Telmed, Inc., and Lucas Management Group, Ltd. Aurelio then returned to the acute care sector as the CFO of Hialeah Hospital in 2000 and served with distinction winning Tenets Circle of Excellence award for CFOs in 2003. Aurelios then returned to public accounting as a Partner in the Corcoran and Associates accounting firm in Coral Gables in 2004. In 2005 Aurelio accepted the position of CFO for Jackson South Community Hospital. He was then recruited to Kindred Healthcare Corporation in 2007 and most recently served as the Central Florida Districts Chief Financial Officer based in Tampa.
