Jewish Community Services of South Florida, Inc. (JCS) has been awarded an $83,700 grant from Health Foundation of South Florida for Year 2 of its EnhanceFitness program. The funding helps JCS with its goal of improving the overall functional fitness and well-being of older adults participating in its EnhanceFitness program currently operated through JCS Senior Adult Services Division.
Through the Health Foundation/Healthy Aging Regional Collaborative grant, JCS will continue to operate JCS EnhanceFitness program in the community, encouraging seniors to increase their social involvement and take an active role in promoting healthy aging. EnhanceFitness is designed for community-based organizations, and intended to promote physical activity among older adults.
