William G. Harmon, M.D., has been named the new director of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology of The Children’s Heart Center at Holtz Children’s Hospital and in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Harmon joined the medical school faculty and the Holtz Children’s Hospital staff in September 2008 when he was recruited to become the director of pediatric cardiac critical care in the Divisions of Pediatric Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine, and an associate professor of clinical pediatrics. During that time he has also been a staff cardiologist with an active outpatient pediatric cardiology practice.

Prior to coming to the Miller School, Dr. Harmon was the director of the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program at the Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York.
