Manuel “Manny” Linares has been named the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Broward Health Medical Center.

Linares most recently served as president and CEO of Touro Infirmary, a 360-bed hospital that’s part of LCMC Health, a public, non-profit healthcare system located in New Orleans, LA. Prior to that, he spent 30 years at Tenet Healthcare Corporation in various leadership roles, including CEO and chief operating officer (COO) of North Shore Medical Center, as well as COO of North Ridge Medical Center.

Linares earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a Master of Health Services Administration from Florida International University.
