Dr. Augusto E. Villa is an interventional/structural cardiologist on staff at Palm Beach Gardens and Good Samaritan medical centers. Dr. Villa received his medical education at Cayetano Heredia University and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed a 3-year internal medicine residency, and a 3-year cardiology fellowship in at the University of Miami School of Medicine Hospitals. He also completed residency elective rotation in cardiology consult service at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and 2-year interventional cardiology and structural fellowships at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Villa is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, and endovascular medicine. Dr. Villa specializes in transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, mitral and tricuspid valve repairs, transcatheter closure of atrial septal defects and PFO’s, perivalvular leaks, and left atrial appendage occlusions. He’s passionate about performing interventional/structural heart procedures, preventing heart disease, and saving lives.
