After three decades of dedicated service, Cynthia Peterson, Chief Executive Officer of the Broward County Medical Association, has announced she will now transition to a new role as consultant. Peterson’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the association’s mission and impact since she assumed the CEO role in 1990.
For three decades, Cynthia Peterson directed and coordinated all programs and major activities of the Broward County Medical Association, including oversight of their Foundation and Political Action Committee. Additionally, she has served as CEO of the Broward County Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Broward County Pediatric Society since 1996.
Cynthia Peterson’s commitment to community service has extended beyond her professional responsibilities. She has served on the boards of various community organizations, including American Lung Association of SE Florida, Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, and the United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention Board of Governors.
Following Cynthia Peterson’s announcement, the Broward County Medical Association will continue its operations under Cobbe Management Consulting. Angel Bosch-De Leon will assume the role of Managing Director.
