Francisco Hidalgo, M.D., Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (F.A.C.C.), is a cardiologist with Holy Cross Medical Group since 2024, focusing on general cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, valvular disease, coronary artery disease and heart failure. Fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Hidalgo earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. In 2012, he immigrated to the United States for an internal medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia. He then completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and was simultaneously an instructor of medicine at the school. Prior to joining Holy Cross Medical Group, he worked as cardiologist and assistant professor at the University of Kentucky Hospital/ Gill Heart & Vascular Institute in Lexington, Kentucky and afterwards at ChenMed in Miami, Florida. Dr. Hidalgo is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and has a certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
