Gayle Maimo, director of cardiopulmonary services, has received Mariners Hospital’s Osprey Award for Outstanding Leadership. The award is given to a Mariners Hospital leader who exhibits exceptional leadership in at least two of the following competencies: people, service, quality and safety, growth, finance and community. Maimo was nominated by employees for her outstanding caring and compassion for Mariners Hospital’s patients as well as her community involvement in organizing an asthma camp for local children and chairing the Mariners Hospital team that participated in the American Heart Association walk.
