North Shore Medical Center Florida Medical Center Campus has taken additional steps to advance its heart program by announcing an enhanced cardiac step-down unit. The modernized unit boasts private suites, each designed to increase comfort and create a positive healing environment for patients recovering from a range of cardiovascular-related surgeries and procedures.
The unit’s private suites feature warm colors, wood floors, modernized furniture, redesigned bathrooms and flat screen TVs. In addition to modern aesthetics, the cardiac step-down unit is staffed with a team of highly trained nurses who are completely focused on facilitating the continuum of heart care for each patient. The unit is also equipped with advanced cardiac patient monitoring technology.
