Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. (BCBSF) has opened a new Florida Blue retail center in the Fort Lauderdale area, at Sawgrass Mills. The new center focuses on helping consumers understand their health care coverage options while providing personal support for health and wellness care.
Joining existing Florida Blue centers in Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville and Winter Park, the new Fort Lauderdale area center is part of a larger BCBSF mission to help members and the community at-large achieve better health. Florida Blue offers all visitors the opportunity to shop for a health care plan that fits their individual needs, attend educational seminars and events on a wide variety of topics, and during monthly health fairs, receive free personal health assessments that measure top line health indicators. Members also have the opportunity to work with consultants on a face-to-face basis to resolve complex claims issues and research providers, treatment options and costs to maximize the benefits of their individual insurance plans.
