Alexander Parr, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon at Broward Health Imperial Point who is fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgery, including bariatric, abdominal and gastrointestinal procedures, as well as robotic surgery. He recently performed his 2,500th robotic assisted procedure using the da Vinci® Surgical System, reflecting his experience in advanced, minimally invasive techniques that support faster recovery and improved outcomes for patients.
Dr. Parr received his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and completed both a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in advanced GI, bariatric and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville. In his current practice, he utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to bariatric care that includes collaboration with a dietician, bariatric coordinator and psychiatrist.
