Cinthia Rogers, BSN, RN, serves as director of the Memorial Healthcare System Douglas Road ER, overseeing clinical, operational and strategic functions. She also played a role in the opening of the emergency room, expanding access to high-quality emergency care across the community.
As a bedside emergency nurse, Rogers saw firsthand how strong leadership could improve both patient outcomes and the caregiver experience, inspiring her to pursue leadership. She believes leadership is about listening, removing barriers and creating opportunities for others to succeed while fostering a culture of trust, accountability and compassion.
One lesson that continues to shape Rogers’ leadership is that investing in people strengthens every aspect of patient care. “Leadership is not about having all the answers,” Rogers said. “When you invest in your people, listen to their perspectives and help them succeed, they will accomplish far more than you could alone.”
