For Linda Lauri, RN, nursing is rooted in advocacy. Before becoming a nurse, Lauri served as a church community services director, where she helped lead initiatives addressing homelessness and food insecurity in Miami. The experience showed her how even small acts of kindness can have a meaningful and lasting impact.

Today, Lauri serves as a case manager on the oncology floor at Broward Health North, helping patients and families navigate treatment and recovery during challenging times. Her nursing background spans multiple specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, progressive care and the ICU, giving her a broad clinical perspective that she brings to her work with oncology patients.

She works closely with physicians, nurses, families and community partners to help address each patient’s individual needs and ensure they have the resources and support necessary throughout their care journey.

“I love advocating for others,” Lauri said. “It’s a privilege.”
