Richard A. Perryman, M.D., internationally acclaimed surgeon with a long history of leadership in the Florida medical community, has been named to the top post of medical director of Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute. Previously, Perryman served as the chief of cardiac surgical services.Perryman completed his medical education at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, England, and his general and cardio thoracic surgical residency at Duke University Medical Center. Perryman spent an additional year in pediatric cardiac surgery training at the University of Florida. Dr. Perryman has published and lectured throughout his career, with teaching appointments at Duke University, the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Florida College of Medicine.
