The Society of Thoracic Surgeons has given the cardiac surgery performance of Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Regional Hospital its highest rating of three stars for the current analysis of national data covering the period of July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2011. Only 14 percent of the participating 950 surgical programs received the three-star rating.
