Setting service clinical outcome. Guests at the Grand Opening of RehabXperience got to see it all on October 20 when the new rehabilitation and pain center held an open house at its new Sunrise facility. According to Medical Director Colette Amit, MSHSA, PT, the staff at the center operates under three key principles: setting upscale, quiet, and a place where patients can be “transported from their pain”; service where the staff goes above and beyond, and measures results with customer satisfaction surveys; and clinical outcome where the results provide exceptional feedback from referring physicians who note that the resulting functionality is usually better with personal attention.
And patients get personal attention at RehabXperience. The “homey” atmosphere was evident on October 20 from the warm décor to the soft music, from the cocktails and hors doeuvres. The “hosts,” Colette and her husband Ofer (who serves as president and oversees all business aspects of the operation) welcomed approximately 50 people to RehabXperience physicians, other physical therapists, patients and future patients. Guests were also able to see the new, state-of-the art equipment provided by RehabXperience: the “NuStep” the most versatile recumbent cross trainer; “Four Channel Electrical Stimulation & Ultrasound Comb” offering stimuli to reduce pain, “re-educate muscles” and reduce inflammatory reaction; and the “Dynatron Traction System” a four-mode traction system allowing excellent flexibility in the treatment of spinal conditions. Visitors also enjoyed the “RehabXperience” of soft lighting and aromatherapy signatures at the center, used daily to provide patients with a soothing environment. Colettes innovative approach to pain management and treatment follows nearly 20 years of experience as a physical therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tel Aviv University and a Masters in Health Services from Barry University. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA, and served as an associate professor of PT at Miami-Dade College. The “Open House” may be over, but the door at RehabXperience is always open for those dealing with daily pain. They are located at the corner of W. Oakland Park Boulevard and N. Pine Island Road, in Sunrise.
