April 10, 2023 On Wednesday, April 19, the American Lung Association in Florida will release the 24th annual “State of the Air” report, which reveals changes to Miami metro area’s air quality since last year’s report, as well as the impact air pollution has on health.

The American Lung Association is releasing the results of its 24th annual “State of the Air” report, an annual air quality “report card” that tracks Americans’ exposure nationwide to unhealthful levels of ozone and particle pollution. The report grades the Miami metro area’s air quality and ranks the most polluted and cleanest U.S. cities for air quality.

The new report from the American Lung Association will reveal how many people are living with and breathing polluted air, placing their health and lives at risk.

In this report, find out:

  • If the air quality in the Miami metro area is unhealthy to breathe
  • Which residents in the Miami metro are most vulnerable
  • What actions residents and local, state and national leaders can take to improve air quality
