September 15, 2020 – Baptist Health’s newest location, nestled in the heart of Downtown Doral, is NOW OPEN. Located at 8400 NW 53 Street, this location gives people living and working in the neighborhood access to high-quality urgent care, primary care, diagnostic imaging and specialty care – including cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery and spine care. Physical therapy will be available early next year.

Close to homes, schools and businesses, the Baptist Health facility is ideal for those who need quality care at their convenience. Urgent care is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week and is available online or in person. Other services have variable hours. Dedicated patient parking is available in the nearby garage.

“We are excited to continue to grow with the city of Doral and offer area residents and workers the convenient and outstanding care they’ve come to expect from Baptist Health,” said Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services.

Baptist Health has been part of the Doral neighborhood for nearly three decades and continues to partner with area organizations to offer the Doral Run Club and other activities. Recently, the health system also partnered with CC Homes to provide home buyers at their Canarias development one year of free and unlimited virtual Urgent Care visits through the Baptist Health Digital Health Kit,in partnership with TytoCare. The kit allows patients to perform a medical exam and share results with a Baptist Health doctor during a virtual consult without ever leaving the comfort of home.

“We are committed to making the City of Doral even healthier,” said Dr. Jose Vazquez, internal medicine physician at Baptist Health and physician leader for the Downtown Doral location. “As we all know, a healthier community is a stronger one.”

This new location joins Baptist Health’s long-standing medical plaza at 9915 NW 41 Street in Doral to fulfill the healthcare needs of this fast-growing community. Diagnostic imaging and urgent care at this location remain open, although the primary care office has moved to the new Downtown Doral location to enhance its services, including the addition of a family physician who can treat adults and children of all ages.
