Baptist Health Foundation hosted a Celebration of Generosity benefiting Bethesda Hospital

PALM BEACH, FL – March 2, 2023 Nearly 200 guests attended the Celebration of Generosity benefiting Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital on February 24, 2023 at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Palm Beach. Hosted by Baptist Health Foundation, the event honored members of its Giving Society and other donors to Bethesda Hospital.

The Celebration of Generosity featured a cocktail hour, seated dinner, dancing to a live band and more. Speakers included Jared Smith, newly appointed CEO of Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital; Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health Foundation; and Barbara James, VP of Baptist Health Foundation.

“Now more than ever, we understand how important high quality, compassionate healthcare is to each and every one of us,” said Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health Foundation. “I am so thankful for the incredible Bethesda Hospital team, who work tirelessly to care for our friends, families and neighbors. This community understands the impact of generosity and we are truly grateful for your commitment to the Foundation and Bethesda Hospital.”

Donations made at the event, which totaled more than $400,000, benefited the Bethesda Hospital Emergency Services Campaign to renovate the Emergency Department at Bethesda Hospital East. We are working to modernize the Emergency Department into a first-class facility that will meet the growing needs of our community,” said Barbara James, VP of Baptist Health Foundation. “This renovation will be fully funded by the generosity of our Bethesda Hospital community.”

The Celebration of Generosity honorary host committee included Mary Blum, Dawn Edwards, Barbara Lucas, Betty Anne Schilling, Julia Shen-Sivitilli and Roberta Stokes.
