Baptist Hospital recently hosted a special, private reception for community leaders, which included a tour of Baptist Hospital’s Expanded Surgery Center plus a sneak peek at the expansion for Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
The Surgery Center will include six additional operating rooms for neuroscience, cardiac, vascular and robotic surgery, including the da Vinci Xi system. Also, an intraoperative MRI that will move between two dedicated operating rooms, allowing neurosurgeons to treat complex brain tumors with real-time, image-guided surgery – the first in Miami.
The expansion at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute includes four new state-of-the-art interventional procedure suites and an enlarged gallery viewing area for greater teaching and learning opportunities.
