Benjamin Reed, M.D. has joined Baptist Health as a general surgeon.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Reed was a general surgeon and minimally invasive surgery fellow at Prisma Health Upstate in Greenville, SC.
Before enrolling in medical school, Dr. Reed served six years in the military as a medic and received numerous awards for his service. He earned his medical degree at Case Western University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. His clinical training includes a general surgery internship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center, a general surgery residency at West Virginia University and a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Prisma Health. During his fellowship, he worked with multiple national leaders in the fields of abdominal wall reconstruction and foregut disease.
