The Broward College Foundation appointed Community Care Plan President and CEO John A. Benz, BBX Capital President Jarett Levan, and financial consultant Beverly Yanowitch, CPA, to its Board of Directors.
Benz, who served on the Broward College District Board of Trustees for eight years, oversees all operations at Community Care Plan, which services Medicaid, Children’s Medicaid Services Network, and various self-insured employee health plans. Prior to working with Community Care Plan, Benz served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for Memorial Healthcare System.
As president of BBX Capital, Levan heads up the diversified investment and asset management company. Levan serves on the boards of the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, the Community Foundation of Broward, the Broward Workshop, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. He also is the founding Board Chair of Business for the Arts of Broward. Yanowitch, a Certified Public Accountant, served as a financial consultant to the Broward College Foundation for 11 years. She previously was CFO of Mackenzie Investment Management, Inc. (Ivy Funds).
