Amy Wellington, director of patient and guest relations at Boca Raton Community Hospital (BRCH), has been appointed president elect on the board for the Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy (SHCA).
Wellington has been employed by Boca Raton Community Hospital since 1994. She initiated the bioethics committee at BRCH and has participated on the Hospitals investigational review board for nine years. She has served as a board member and chapter relations committee chair for the SHCA for the past two years. She is also a member of the Florida Society for Patient Representatives and the National Association of Social Workers.
