The Health Care District of Palm Beach County’s Board of Commissioners recently elected its new Board Chair and officers. In a unanimous vote, the Board elected its Vice Chair, Brian R. Lohmann, to serve as Chair, along with Nancy C. Banner, Esq. as Vice Chair and Sean O’Bannon as Secretary. The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners appointed Lohmann to the Health Care District Board in September 2011 to represent the rural, western part of Palm Beach County known as “the Glades.” Lohmann, who was reappointed for a second four-year term in 2016, also serves as Chair of the District’s Finance Committee.
Lohmann is Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of the Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida, which he joined in 2008. Prior to that, he spent three years with Pioneer Growers Cooperative and previously was the owner of B.R. Lohmann, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida.
