Broward Health Coral Springs marked a major investment in emergency care with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating a new state-of-the-art CT (computed tomography) scanner in the emergency room and a newly renovated EMS breakroom.

“We are so proud of the investment we are making at Broward Health Coral Springs,” said Kristen Bowman, CEO of Broward Health Coral Springs. “The dual source scanner is especially important for our cardiac CTA patients since the dose is significantly less due to the updated software, and with its location in the ER, it will markedly improve our turn-around time. It’s just one of the many investments we continue to make to better serve our patients with the highest level of care.”

The new Siemens Pro. Pulse dual-source CT scanner delivers higher resolution images, faster scan times and reduced radiation exposure, enhancing the hospital’s ability to diagnose and treat patients quickly, especially in critical situations.

The renovated EMS breakroom reflects the hospital’s commitment to supporting first responders. The updated space offers a comfortable area for EMS crews to complete paperwork, recharge after high-stress calls and access refreshments before returning to service.
