David Noel Bimston, M.D., is the medical director of Minimally Invasive Endocrine Surgery Center at Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center. He also serves as a surgical oncologist at Imperial Point, Broward General and North Broward Medical Centers.
Dr. Bimstons interests include minimally invasive surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. He creates time in his schedule to promote health education through student teaching and frequent speaking engagements to community groups. He is a sought-after guest lecturer on topics such as thyroid cancer, breast cancer, melanoma and colorectal cancer.
Dr. Bimston received his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine.
He served his residency at Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Evanston Hospital. He was a surgical research fellow at Northwestern University/Evanston Hospital, and a surgical oncology research fellow and clinical fellow at City of Hope National Medical Center.
Dr. Bimston is a Diplomate with the American Board of Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has been published in numerous books and periodicals and frequently presents research and medical information before his peers.
