On Friday, February 3, 2022, “National Wear Red Day” Broward Health Medical Center nurses, caregivers and physicians gathered with cardiac patients dressed in red to form a heart shape at Broward Health Medical Center.

This is to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease in women and help save lives. According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Cardiovascular disease kills more women than cancer and 45 percent of women over the age of 20 are living with this condition. Current patients that are part of our cardiac rehab program will also be joining us as they overcome heart disease.
