Broward Health Medical Center has been re-certified as one of 12 leading medical centers across the country and the only location in Florida to provide joint replacement surgery for retired National Football League players.

Broward Health Medical Center, along with the other 11 partner hospitals located throughout the country, makes specialized, coordinated care available to players covered by this program, which provides financial assistance to all players, regardless of their financial situation. For players not covered by insurance and who cannot pay for the procedure, additional financial assistance is available from the NFL Player Care Foundation. Players eligible for assistance from the NFL Player Care Foundation are not responsible for the cost of either the joint replacement surgery or post-operative rehabilitation.
