December 20, 2019 – Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital will welcome two new executives this month with the addition of David O’Brien as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Donna Small as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

O’Brien will join Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital as Chief Operating Officer. O’Brien previously held positions at St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Palm Beach Children’s Hospital in West Palm Beach. There, O’Brien served as COO and was responsible for all hospital operations and financial oversight for both the medical center and children’s hospital. In his new role at Broward Health, O’Brien will oversee the daily operations of the 716-bed hospital.

Donna Small, RN, will join Broward Health Medical Center and Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital as Chief Nursing Officer. Small is returning to Broward Health after acting as St. Mary’s Medical Center and Palm Beach Children’s Hospital’s CNO. She brings more than 17 years of executive experience.
