February 25, 2020 – Broward Health welcomes Sunita Kasliwal, M.D., as its chief medical information officer. Kasliwal will direct the healthcare system’s clinical information systems that support caregivers and advance patient care.
Kasliwal is a proven informatics executive who has driven informatics strategies and implemented electronic health record systems for hospitals and academic medical institutions for more than a decade.
“Dr. Kasliwal brings with her a wealth of technical and clinical experience in the development and deployment of healthcare informatics, said Katherine Ross, chief information officer at Broward Health. “Her expertise will allow Broward Health to further improve the processes for our physicians and patients.”
Prior to joining Broward Health, Kasliwal was a physician informatics consultant for a number of healthcare organizations, including Jackson Health System in Miami and Baptist Health System in Jacksonville, Florida. She’s also a trained obstetrician and gynecologist and had a private practice in Solapur, India.
Kasliwal received her medical degree from Dr. V.M. Government Medical College in Solapur, India, advanced training in reproductive endocrinology in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas in Texas.
