Broward Health is pleased to announce that Maria Panyi has been named the new vice president of physician services/Broward Health Physician Group (BHPG).Panyi brings more than 19 years of healthcare operational and technology consulting, risk management, auditing and compliance experience to her new role. Most recently she served as Broward Health’s chief internal auditor, where she was responsible for providing independent appraisal of the diverse operations and controls within Broward Health. Panyi is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
Prior to her career with Broward Health, Panyi worked with a diverse range of organizations including the ‘big four’ accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers, Arthur Andersen and KPMG; WellPoint/Blue Cross Blue Shield; Mount Sinai Medical Center; and Miami Children’s Hospital.
