Pat O’Rourke, Broward Health Safety Officer, has been named to the Florida Pollution Prevention Roundtable (FLPPR) Board of Directors.
O’Rourke has been key in system-wide pollution prevention activities throughout Broward Health which have led to receiving the 2008 and 2009 Emerald Award in Pollution Prevention: Hazardous Waste Reduction – large business category – from the Broward County Commission. She joined Broward Health in 2002 and is responsible for coordinating the corporate-wide safety initiatives, policies and procedures in the environment of care, and ensuring environmental safety at more than 40 sites throughout Broward Health.
