Amanda Leannais, Broward Health Weston employee, recently received the Samaritan award presented to her by the Broward County Sheriffs Office during the BSOs Award Ceremony.
Leannais received the award for her heroic efforts while assisting in saving a woman whose car had gone into the lake behind Broward Health Weston. Not only did she jump into the water to help pull her out, she stayed with the woman, keeping her calm until Broward County Fire Rescue arrived.
Leannais is currently the Senior Physician Office Specialist for Broward Health.
