Financial Coordinator
Ivory Monroe Jr. is the finance coordinator in the Financial Management Department at Broward Health Medical Center, where he reports to the hospital CFO.
Monroe has led an interesting career path, starting at Broward Health Medical Center in Nutritional Services. In the past 15 years, Monroe gained skills that allowed him to grow into his current role.
“When I was hired into the Finance Department in 2017, it was a dream come true that changed my life instantly,” said Monroe.
As a financial coordinator, Monroe is excited when he finds cost-savings to improve the financial health of the organization.
“Ivory has that go-getter mentality to get the job done,” said Broward Health Medical Center Chief Financial Officer Onel Rodriguez Jr. “He plays an integral role in ensuring our day-to-day activities in our Finance Department run smoothly and reports and processes are effective to the overall goal in expenses, revenues, and month-end progress of the hospital.”
“I am proud of the journey I took to get where I am now,” said Monroe. “Starting out in the cafeteria to now having a role in finance has made me appreciate every step I took toward progressing in my career and taking nothing for granted.”
