Stephen Garner is the Chief Operating Officer for Delray Medical Center and the group COO for the Palm Beach Market. Garner previously worked for Tenet sister hospital Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital, a nationally-recognized 217-bed acute care hospital in Arizona, where he was the COO for the last three years. He led and completed various construction and operational projects, including a $4M Operating Room expansion, a $2M Interventional Radiology suite renovation, multiple DaVinci robot purchases and installs, and other equipment upgrades such as an O-Arm and Navio robot. Along with nursing leadership, Stephen was instrumental in implementing the first physician co-management program in the Abrazo network, raising the efficiency and quality for electrophysiology at Abrazo Arizona Heart and Abrazo Arrowhead. He also designed and implemented new safety culture enhancements, including executive departmental safety rounds, lean, and Glass Wall that led to AHRQ safety scores in the top 15 in Tenet in 2016 and 2017. During his tenure, Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital won Tenet’s prestigious Circle of Excellence Award twice. Garner holds a Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctorate, and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees from Baylor University.
