Caden’s 1st Birthday aka “The Iceman Cometh”

 

150 lbs of ice

1 98 degrees in the shade day (humidity optional)

1 beautiful Florida beach

15 kids under 10

30 parents over 10

4 grandparents WAY over 10

Costco size tubs of Cheeseballs

Pretzels

Goldfish

1 Pkg Water balloons (100 count)

16 Large Pizzas

 

Combine above ingredients, let mixture sit for 4 hours and voila … 1 pretty terrific birthday.

 

But like most Felix men, Caden has a mind of his own. Rather than playing in the hot sand, Caden preferred to spend his time playing with the drink tubs filled with melting ice and cans. I think the only time he surfaced was to smash his very own cake and pull a mini-Rupert Murdoch.

 

It was fun, it was hot, it was noisy chaos, it was hot, it has been over for 5 days, and still I can remember, it was soooo hot.
