In 2005, Florida International University’s Robert Stempel School of Public Health instituted the Paths of Public Health Awards to recognize and honor the first responders and frontline public health workers whose dedication and contributions have improved the health of the South Florida community.

Awards are made in the following five categories:

  • Health Policy and Management
  • Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
  • Epidemiology and Infectious Disease
  • Environmental and Occupational Health
  • Community Nutrition

In addition, the Robert Stempel Award is awarded to a public health professional who has accomplished outstanding work within the South Florida community.

Applications for nominations may be accessed at http://ssph.fiu.edu/path_award.html. Please consider nominating an individual employed in the public health field and who:
