The North Broward Hospital District (NBHD) has named Calvin E. Glidewell Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Point Medical Center.
Glidewell currently serves as chief executive officer of University Community Hospital Carrollwood, in Tampa, FL. He has served in that position since 2006. Prior to that, he served as CEO of University Community Hospital, a major tertiary hospital in Tampa. He served in that position from 2001 through 2006. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Marketing for University Community Hospital.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to join the staff and physicians of Imperial Point Medical Center as their new CEO,” said Calvin Glidewell. “I feel privileged to lead an institution with such a proud tradition of stewardship and service to its community. Our planned Emergency Department expansion and medical office building development will further broaden our commitment and provide enhanced access to our patients and visitors.”
Glidewell received his MBA from Tulane University and his bachelors from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of several civic and professional associations including the Legislative Policy Committee for the Florida Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
