Cancer centers H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute at the University of South Florida (USF); Shands Cancer Center at the University of Florida (UF); and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami (UM) are joining forces to fight cancer at the 10th annual Joint Cancer Conference. The conference is open to primary care physicians, surgical oncologists, general surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pharmacists, oncology nurses, ARNP or PA in a primary care setting and cancer researchers. The conference will be held at The Breakers hotel in Palm Beach from Sept. 28 Oct. 1.
The symposium will feature:- Advances in lung cancer research and targeted therapies
- Nursing tracks on oncologic emergencies and survivorship issues
- Panels on breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and hematologic malignancies
- Plenary session on renal cell carcinoma
- Business of Oncology session, including an update on legislative issues moderated by FLASCO
- Special session on clinical trials moderated by Dr. Timothy Yeatman, Moffitt Cancer Center
Other Moffitt doctors participating include Cancer Center Director William Dalton, Alberto Chiappori, Charles E. Cox, Mayer Fishman, Christopher Garrett, G. Douglas Letson, Alan F. List, George R. Simon and Craig W. Stevens.
