James Wudel, M.D., has joined the medical staff as Director of the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach.
Dr. Wudel graduated from Emory University Medical School and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Vanderbilt University. He completed residencies in cardiac and thoracic surgery at the University of California-San Francisco and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Wudel focuses on the latest advances in care to treat adult patients. His areas of interest include multi-arterial coronary artery bypass grafting, the surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation, and the surgical treatment of valvular heart disease including transcatheter therapies.
