Carmen Rodriguez, R.N., was recently named assistant vice president of Perioperative Services at South Miami Hospital. Rodriguez joined South Miami Hospital in 1992 as a nurse manager and most recently served as director of Surgical Services.Rodriguez earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University. She is former president of the Dade County Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, as well as a member of the Florida Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses and the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses.
