Message from Jackson Health Foundation on October 11, 2022 – Your support over the past 10 years has helped Jackson Health System renovate aged facilities, build new ones, and make smart investments in the latest technology and equipment to care for residents of all ages in our community. Today, I am excited to share that our commitment to the health and wellness of those we serve is growing with our expansion of pediatric care.

We are in the planning phases of a UHealth Jackson Children’s Care outpatient pavilion that will live on the Jackson Memorial Medical Center campus, steps from Holtz Children’s Hospital. The new building will provide our youngest patients comprehensive clinical services by having various specialties housed at one location. This new facility will also house the Shriners Children’s Orthopedic Center at UHealth Jackson Children’s Care and create a regional center of excellence that will advance world-class care for children with traumatic injuries and debilitating conditions, such as spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and cerebral palsy.

At Holtz Children’s, the internal renovations continue for a new and improved emergency department with 24 exam rooms, five triage rooms, two resuscitation rooms, and four behavioral health rooms. The loved ones of pediatric patients receiving care at Holtz Children’s will soon have access to a new Ronald McDonald House – a 60,000-square-foot facility with 48 hotel suites and family-friendly amenities.
