Using special video links, workers from Cisco Systems and technicians from Broward Health wired hospital rooms at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital right to Santa’s workshop in the North Pole. Actually Santa was in Cisco’s San Jose offices, but the pediatric patients at Chris Evert were convinced he was the real Santa.

Patients and their families visit with Santa and his elves via video conference connection as part of the Cisco Santa Connection.

This was part of Cisco’s Santa Connection that recently came to the children’s hospital. It was the first time the program was brought to a Florida hospital and Chris Evert was Cisco’s chosen location. “When you see the children’s’ faces light up, you know we’re doing the right thing ,” said Rob Lopez, senior communications manager and the Santa program creator. “This event brings a dose of hope and happiness to children who are pretty ill and probably wouldn’t have the chance to see Santa any other way.”
