Cleveland Clinic Florida recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration for its emergency room staff in Weston to commemorate the expansion of the hospital’s emergency room. The addition of 3,500 square feet of space and six ER beds, including an official “safe room” to accommodate behavioral health patients, will help Broward’s top-ranked hospital keep pace with growing demand for its emergency services. Cleveland Clinic’s ER team treated more than 33,000 patients in 2012 with wait times that are far below national benchmarks.
